DIAGNOSIS, DESIGN AND DELIVERY

Diagnosis

We believe you have to interrogate the soil before you can even contemplate starting to put things right.

As a result we use the very latest in advanced surveying and soil analysis technologies to accurately diagnose the causes of your pitch problems.

Remote sensing technology measures the mineralogy, physical and chemical properties of the soil to produce a unique “fingerprint map” of key characteristics.

Full topographic and site survey work adds to this knowledge of the site, detailing the issues causing or likely to cause drainage and surface performance problems.

Occasionally a piped drainage system may not necessarily be required. Improving soil structure and hence drainage may be achieved through alternative remediation approaches. Sport Organic's Engineers are able to advise you on improved soil management practice to enhance drainage performance.

Design

Prior to the commencement of construction all materials undergo a range of physical laboratory tests including particle size distribution and hydraulic conductivity. This is to ensure that the correct quantity and depth of material is installed.

This culminates in the drawing up of a detailed Computer Aided Design (CAD) plan of drainage designs and specifications unique to your site.

Delivery

Installation of primary drainage infrastructure using accurate laser depth control guarantees correct grades

Pipe and trench sizes are optimised to ensure minimum disruption to the playing surface, reducing costly arising (spoil) disposal charges and unsightly and unstable backfill lines.

Secondary drainage provides an extensive interceptor network ensuring the maximum opportunity to remover surface water.

Finally the pitch is extensively aerated and de-compacted to produce a well-structured, free draining surface suitable for the resuming of play, typically no more than 10 days after completion.
